I don’t know if I’ve mentioned this to you on Substack before but I subscribe because you gave me an ass kicking last summer when I needed it.
You didn’t let me get away with my sloppiness.
You gave me legit feedback at a time when I needed it.
You changed and improved me as a writer. For that, I will always be grateful.
At some point, I’ll stop with the fawning but my gratitude will always be there.
